AZ Food Hub – Processing and Distribution Logistics
This project will entail a group of Industrial Engineering students to come up with the most efficient way to get from farm to restaurant while preforming tasks like processing, washing, and packaging (if necessary). Where traditional food hubs have a central location to preform these tasks, we are looking for creative students to come up with a way perform the same tasks as a warehouse while on the road or outsourcing to other companies.
Desirable students should be studying Industrial Engineering or should have a background in logistics.
Expected duration/deadline: 2 months / May 1, 2015
Expected number of students: Industrial Engineering – 4-5
Requires US Citizenship: No
Requires Permanent Residency: No
Company Representative: Tommy Verderame
